Beauty advert: Marc Jacobs

This is my beaty advert in which I tried to create a vintage floral look that tied in with the Marc Jacobs style. I got this idea during some research of the daisy perfume line which came from inspiration of Daisy Buchanan from the Great Gatsby. My original idea was to take the perfume bottle that I had photo'd Infront of a warm light and put it onto a bed of flowers similar to those onto of the bottle. However due to my limited Photoshop skills at the time I had to change my idea to a my simpler one in which I put it onto a textured cream background and added some roses round the edge, giving it that vintage feel whilst still incorporating a floral aspect. It hen wanted the perfume to stand out more to which i adds a luminous ring around it in hopes to make it pop.

Although I feel I did include the key aspects of the perfume I do not believe I have executed them to a suitable standard as I feel the images are not cohesive and look as if they come from random images. my goal is to follow through with this simpler idea and make it more harmonious by thinking more about C.L.I.M.T or to go back to my original ideas as I have become more familiar with photoshop and try and carry them out successfully to create a cohesive and enticing advert that stands out to customers.

SHSG sixth form title

This is my advert demonstrating SHSG and more importantly sixth form life where I dive into all the different aspects I have discovered during my time here. Although I believed I have successfully captured the different elements my, advert is still very basic with a couple photos and some titles. I would improve this by looking at some conventional adverts showing places and try to apply the techniques I find as well as applying the techniques I have learnt as I continue my time in the classroom, in order to make this look more interesting. For example, I would have a prominent image that draws in consumers in which I would then anchor using a catchy phrase. Overall I am happy with the outcome of the piece considering this is my first time using photoshop.
